The National Museum of American History’s Summer of Innovation celebrates the opening of the museum’s new wing featuring exhibitions and learning spaces centered on invention and the American entrepreneurial spirit. We are partnering with museums, science and technology organizations, and youth, civic, and community groups around the country to participate in and promote Raise It Up! America Innovates.
Places of Invention, a new exhibition, will examine six ‘hotspots’ of invention across the country. At the heart of the Places of Invention experience is an interactive map where the Smithsonian, our partners, and the public will share stories of innovative places. Learn more about the Places of Invention exhibition here.
Throughout Summer 2015, Raise it Up! America Innovates asks all Americans to share their community’s “places of invention” story online through the Places of Invention map. To help populate the map, we are inviting National Audience Partners across the country to spread the word and share stories of invention and innovation from their communities.
Our partners play an essential role in sharing this program and the Places of Invention interactive map with the broadest possible audience. If your organization is interested in becoming an official partner, please contact email@example.com.
In the meantime, we encourage you to find out more about our partners who are celebrating American innovation and invention with us this summer.
